March’s advocacy call focused on unmanned aircraft commonly known as drones, and feature a discussion of pending legislation across the country. The panel discussed jurisdictions that have sought licenses for using the aircraft and legislation pending in several states. Panelists included Mason Clutter, National Security and Privacy Counsel for NACDL, Steven R. Morrison, assistant professor at the University of North Dakota School of Law, and Christopher Calabrese, the legislative counsel for privacy-related issues in the American Civil Liberties Union's Washington Legislative Office (WLO).
