Atlanta Attorney Drew Findling Re-Elected to Board of Directors of National Criminal Defense Bar Assn.

Washington, DC (Aug. 9, 2012) – Attorney Drew Findling of Atlanta, Georgia, has been re-elected to the Board of Directors of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL). Findling was sworn in at the 54th Annual Board and Membership Meeting in San Francisco, California, on July 28. He was also selected to serve on NACDL’s Executive Committee.

A Life Member of NACDL, Findling has long served the association. He is currently the co-chair of the Discovery Reform Committee. And he has served as chair of the Forensic Disciplines and Membership Committees. He also served on the 2011 Nominating Committee. Findling was first on NACDL’s Board of Directors from 1997 to 2003.

Findling has taught at the National Criminal Defense College since 1989. He is the only criminal defense attorney serving on the Department of Justice/American Bar Association Board of Advisors for the National Clearinghouse on Science, Technology and the Law. His professional memberships also include the American Board of Criminal Lawyers, the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the American Bar Association. Findling has been named as one of Georgia’s Legal Elite in Georgia Trend Magazine, Top Rated Lawyers in Georgia and as a Georgia “Super Lawyer” by Atlanta Magazine.

A recipient of the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers Pro Bono Award, Findling began his career as a public defender in Fulton County, Georgia, and has continued to include pro bono cases as a significant part of his private practice, The Findling Law Firm.

Findling is a 1981 graduate of Oglethorpe University and a 1984 graduate of the Emory University School of Law.

    Nation’s Defense Bar Reiterates Opposition to Actions Against Law Firms – Washington, DC (March 18, 2025)

    The National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL) remains deeply concerned over recent executive orders targeting law firms, most recently Paul Weiss and Perkins Coie, and repeats its call to uphold the right to counsel and the independence of the legal profession. Despite a ruling blocking the action against Perkins Coie, the administration has continued to target law firms representing disfavored clients and positions, threatening the right to a zealous defense.
