Washington, DC (Sept. 4, 2019) – The National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL) is proud to announce the launch of a totally redesigned and rejuvenated NACDL.org. This completely reinvented site is a reflection of collaboration among NACDL members, the Board of Directors, the Executive Committee, staff, and everyone else whose guidance, suggestions, and engagement since the beginning of the website redesign process have molded the site into what it is today.
“With NACDL’s new website, it is now easier than ever for not just NACDL members to access the information and resources that they need for their practice, but also for everyone to get involved with the critically important work of criminal justice reform in the United States,” said NACDL Executive Director Norman L. Reimer. “The new site is the culmination of the efforts and collaboration of many, and is an invaluable tool in our fight for the dignity of our clients and for a more rational and humane criminal justice system.”
The new NACDL.org features several enhanced resources and qualities. A drastically improved Search and Filter functionality allows users to find specific content in seconds or a wide array of aggregated content—news releases, Champion articles, reports, and more—on numerous topics, such as Public Defense or Economic Crime, organized into one single page. The site also showcases a brand new Fourth Amendment Center section with access to litigation assistance and a host of helpful resources regarding new technology and tactics that may violate the Constitution. In addition, a new and improved Resource Center featuring case-based tools, forensics resources, an expert database, and postconviction materials will launch this fall.
Another very important feature of the new site is the ease with which it enables anyone can get involved. NACDL’s Take Action page allows users to make their voice heard on important issues like clemency, “banning the box,” restoring the Pell Grant for incarcerated individuals, and much more.
This new site will continuously mold and change as NACDL strives to provide not only an excellent user experience, but also the most up-to-date resources, news, and events for the criminal defense bar and those seeking to reform the criminal justice system.
