The following is a consolidated transcript of all the transcripts from the hearings in seven cities hosted by the NACDL Problem-Solving Task Force. The report quotes and cites several of the over 130 witnesses that appeared at the hearings.
To ensure the accuracy of the transcript, NACDL forwarded each witness a copy of their testimony and asked that they review the documents for any significant inaccuracies. Although the majority of witnesses believed their testimony was accurately reflected, a few submitted edits. Those edits were incorporated into the consolidated transcript as a separate document after the respective hearing.
In a few instances, witnesses believed the transcript did not accurately reflect their testimony and either did not submit changes, submitted an entirely new document with primarily grammatical errors corrected, or submitted substantively revised testimony.
The Task Force did not incorporate any new documents into the following digest. In the final analysis, the Task Force is confident of the findings in its report and the substantial accuracy of any quotes or citations within the report.
